Perhaps the most personal design we have ever undertaken was for our own family home. Our desire for the home was for it to be energy efficient, address the street scape and provide a link to the neighbourhood from the front veranda which would be perched above the lower level of garages. The interiors provided expansive wall zones for art collections and a living area for entertaining. The kitchen formed the heart and central rhythm for the family home and provided the venue for all things essential to a busy household. All areas of the home were zoned for privacy, acoustic balance, and retention of conditioned spaces. The home also takes full advantage of the solar conditions throughout the day, with adjustable patio louvers and solar glazing.
